Lyrically it talks about the band celebrating their success, and describes the average “punk band”. It takes us back to the older days of rock music.
I say this because it’s a very punk song. It’s different from the songs on the gossip album. The next song is Cheers, now cheers really surprised me when I heard it. One Man Army is about being a group of just one, and never giving up. The next song on the album is One Man Army. Trouble is about heartbreak, how he’s broken beyond compare, how nothing’s going right. It has a cheerful tone to it, it’s up beat. In Empire To Ashes kellin sings “If my life is the needle, the soul is the thread” “I try to break free, but I can’t escape me.” The next song is Legends, Legends is a song basically about empowerment. The next song Empire to ashes is wrote about how sometimes you can’t break free, your kinda just stuck. The song Gossip is lyrically supposed to speak volumes for the people who have been gossiped about, and that you shouldn’t believe everything people say. Each song has a special meaning behind it, or a reason they wrote that song. Gossip is probably the best album they have put out yet. They like to change their style every once in awhile. They went from having this emo post core music to changing their style and having kind of a pop sound to them now.
The album is very good, and worth every penny spent to buy it. Kellin the lead singer and songwriter of the band a new album, but he also wanted it to be special and have meaning in each and every song on the album.
